Bernd M. Michael is considered to be one of the most famous European brand professionals. Until 2006 he was an associate and chairman of the Grey Global Group Europe, Middle East & Africa with 294 offices in 50 countries and about 6.600 employees. Since 1970, he has continually advised international and national companies of all branches on the topic of brand development and marketing..
For three decades Bernd M. Michael has committed himself to the field of brands and brand marketing by means of giving lectures and interviews, writing articles and publishing books. In 2003 he published his book “B like brand” describing various techniques of brand marketing and case studies on 1.800 pages. He is an enthusiastic Harvard- and IMD-alumnus giving lectures at universities and Business Schools in Europe and China.
Until october 2003 he was chairman of the European Association of Communications Agencies (EACA) and a longstanding board member of the GWA as well as its chairman. Since May 1, 2008 he is chairman of the German Marketing Group with about 14.000 clubmen. At the same time Bernd M. Michael is part of the supervisory and advisory board of several German companies, the owner of an office for brand architecture in Düsseldorf and an investor in various New Media companies such as e.g. the mobile marketing agency 1,2snap.
In the month of April 2008 he was admitted to the Hall of Fame of German Advertising.
